About the role

As our Data Modeler, you'll be instrumental in creating and maintaining models that empower our business operations and analytics. Your data models will ensure accurate, reliable, and scalable data access, enabling self-service reporting and trusted metrics across various business units.

This key position will collaborate closely with stakeholders, translating their data needs into effective business models and help support driving data-driven decision-making throughout the organization.

Design and govern enterprise semantic data models, ensuring a unified and reliable data foundation for analytics.

Create scalable data models to facilitate self-service reporting and trusted metrics across business units.

Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their data requirements and translate them into efficient data models.

Maintain data integrity and consistency across diverse data sources and systems.

Document and update data model specifications, ensuring accessibility and transparency.

Apply data modeling best practices, including normalization, denormalization, and data partitioning.

Optimize data storage and retrieval processes in collaboration with data engineers and analysts.

Conduct regular data model reviews, identifying areas for improvement and enhancement.

Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies in data modeling and analytics.

Provide support and guidance to other teams on data-related queries, ensuring a smooth and efficient data environment.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, with a focus on data modeling and database design.

3-5 years of experience in data modeling, with a proven track record of creating effective and scalable data models.

Proficiency in data modeling techniques and tools, including ERD, UML, and advanced data modeling software.

Strong understanding of relational databases and SQL, with the ability to write complex queries and optimize database performance.

Experience with big data technologies and distributed systems is highly advantageous.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a track record of delivering innovative data solutions.

Exceptional communication skills, enabling you to explain complex data concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy and quality are essential.

Experience with data governance frameworks and practices is desirable, ensuring data integrity and compliance.

A willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and industry trends, staying at the forefront of data modeling advancements.
