Base Salary $117,133 - $127,610+ 17% superannuation

About the opportunity

The Financial Analyst, within the Strategic Financial Analytics team in Financial Control, Treasury and Infrastructure (FCTI), supports the delivery of strategic financial analysis, dashboards and data visualisations, business partnering, financial reporting, and data-driven insights across a range of initiatives and projects.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

develop a strong understanding of the operational and financial drivers within aligned portfolios, including Infrastructure Finance, to deliver meaningful, context-driven financial analysis and insights

build collaborative relationships with stakeholders and finance teams to support effective business partnering and ensure analytical outputs are relevant, understood, and actionable

develop and maintain dashboards, visualisations, and reporting outputs (e.g. Power BI and PowerPoint), applying data visualisation and storytelling techniques to communicate complex financial and operational information clearly and effectively

extract, validate, and manage financial and operational data to support reporting, analysis, and recurring financial processes (e.g. budgets, forecasts, and monthly reporting), ensuring accuracy, consistency, and data integrity

support the development and maintenance of financial models, scenario analysis, and business cases to evaluate options and inform strategic decision-making.

About you

demonstrated experience in financial planning, analysis, decision support, and business partnering, including advising senior stakeholders and contributing to strategic decision-making

demonstrated experience working with large and complex datasets, using enterprise financial systems (e.g. PeopleSoft) and analytics tools (e.g. Power BI) to extract, validate, model, visualise, and report data that supports decision-making

strong analytical, problem-solving, and data storytelling skills, with the ability to synthesise complex financial and operational information into clear, concise reports, presentations, dashboards, and insights for both technical and non-technical audiences

demonstrated experience in financial modelling, scenario analysis, business case development, and the evaluation of operational or strategic initiatives

experience working in the higher education sector or within a large, complex, multi-faceted organisation.
