Job Summary
We are seeking a full-time, stay-in Teacher-Nanny to provide educational support, nurturing care, and assistance with daily routines for a young child.
This position combines kindergarten-readiness education, homeschool support, childcare, and light household assistance in a structured, positive, and supportive home environment.
We are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys teaching and caring for children and can help develop strong academic foundations while encouraging confidence, independence, responsibility, good manners, and positive learning habits.
This is a long-term position for a reliable, patient, trustworthy, and caring individual who is comfortable with a stay-in/live-in arrangement.
Key Responsibilities
Education & Homeschool Support
Teach kindergarten-readiness and early learning skills, including:
Phonics and reading readiness
Letter recognition and vocabulary
Early handwriting and writing
Numbers, counting, and basic math
Shapes, patterns, colors, and sorting
Simple science and general knowledge
Plan and conduct structured daily learning activities.
Make learning enjoyable through books, educational games, storytelling, arts and crafts, and hands-on activities.
Assist with homeschool lessons, activities, and assignments as directed by the parent.
Adapt teaching methods according to the child’s learning pace, strengths, and interests.
Encourage curiosity, concentration, creativity, problem-solving, and a love for learning.
Help establish good study habits and positive learning routines.
Childcare & Daily Support
Provide attentive, nurturing, and responsible care in a safe home environment.
Assist with daily routines, including meals, snacks, hygiene, dressing, learning time, playtime, and rest.
Prepare or assist with simple meals and snacks when needed.
Encourage good manners, cleanliness, independence, and responsibility.
Teach the child to organize and put away toys, books, learning materials, and personal belongings.
Maintain a calm, patient, positive, and consistent daily routine.
Encourage healthy communication, emotional regulation, and age-appropriate social skills.
Household Assistance
The Teacher-Nanny should also be willing to assist with reasonable household duties, particularly during times when teaching or direct childcare is not required.
Responsibilities may include:
Keeping the child’s bedroom, study area, and play areas clean and organized.
Organizing toys, books, and educational materials.
Washing, folding, and organizing clothes and personal belongings.
Assisting with dishes and kitchen cleanup.
Light cleaning and tidying of common areas.
Basic household organization.
Helping maintain a clean, safe, and orderly home environment.
The primary responsibilities remain teaching and childcare, but we are looking for someone comfortable helping with normal day-to-day household responsibilities as part of the position.
Communication & Development
Provide regular updates to the parent regarding lessons, activities, behavior, and learning progress.
Communicate concerns or noticeable changes promptly.
Work closely with the parent to support educational and developmental goals.
Follow established family routines, expectations, and instructions.
Be receptive to feedback and willing to adjust teaching strategies when necessary.
Maintain professionalism, discretion, and respect for the family’s privacy.
Required Qualifications
Previous experience working with young children.
Background as a nanny, preschool teacher, kindergarten teacher, tutor, teacher aide, homeschool assistant, or similar position.
Patient, nurturing, responsible, and emotionally mature.
Able to provide warmth while maintaining appropriate structure and boundaries.
Good communication skills with children and adults.
Reliable, trustworthy, organized, and clean.
Able to follow instructions and established household routines.
Comfortable with a stay-in/live-in arrangement.
Genuine interest in children’s education and development.
Preferred Qualifications
Early Childhood Education or Elementary Education background or training.
Preschool, kindergarten, tutoring, or homeschool experience.
Montessori, play-based, or child-centered teaching experience.
Experience preparing lesson plans and educational activities.
CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain certification.
Strong English communication skills.
Interest in stable, long-term employment.

She should be warm and nurturing while also providing appropriate structure and consistency. She should enjoy teaching, reading, playing, creating educational activities, and helping a child develop greater confidence and independence.
Most importantly, we are looking for someone who is trustworthy, patient, responsible, teachable, hardworking, and genuinely committed to the child’s learning and overall well-being.
Pay: Php12,000.00 - Php22,000.00 per month
