Job Summary

Reporting directly to the Vice President of Human Resources for Eurest, the Human Resources Director serves as a strategic leader and trusted advisor to Division Presidents, Vice Presidents, and senior operational leaders across multiple business segments. This role is responsible for developing and executing comprehensive people strategies that align with organizational objectives while driving operational excellence and business growth.

The Human Resources Director provides leadership in all facets of human resources, including talent management, organizational design, succession planning, employee relations, leadership development, workforce planning, change management, compliance, and risk mitigation. This individual partners closely with executive leadership to build high-performing teams, enhance employee engagement, and foster a culture of accountability, inclusion, and continuous development.

They serve as the subject matter expert on HR policies, programs, and employment practices, ensuring consistent implementation and compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws. The role requires the ability to influence and guide senior leaders through complex organizational challenges while delivering innovative solutions that support both talent and business objectives.

Operating within a matrixed environment, the Human Resources Director plays a key role in driving organizational effectiveness, supporting business transformations, leading talent initiatives, and partnering with leadership on strategic workforce decisions that position Eurest for continued success.

Location: The ideal candidate will be based in the Chicago area; however, highly qualified candidates located throughout the Midwest region will be considered.

Key Responsibilities:

Supports and engages associates on Diversity & Inclusion initiatives.

Participates in senior level interviews for Regional and Operational leadership.

Analyzes wage and salary reports and data to determine competitive compensation plans.

Assesses and intervenes in ADA/FMLA/WC cases.

Conducts climate surveys and exit interviews, as well as reviews Associate and Customer Satisfaction surveys to analyze and monitor levels of associate morale and job satisfaction.

Prepares reports and recommends procedures to drive labor efficiency.

Facilitates and creates training material for leadership development based on needs of the business.

A solid understanding of all the key HR specialist areas.

Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Management, Hospitality Management/Integration, Statistics, or related degree.

A solid understanding of all the key HR specialist areas.

10 years' experience in a multi-site, multi-state environment.

Associate relations experience a must.

Previous operations experience a plus.

Union experience highly desirable.

Must be able to travel up to 30%.
