Purchasing & Procurement

Assist in preparing accurate and timely estimates for repairs identified through preventative maintenance inspections, service calls, equipment evaluations, and shop teardowns.

Review technician inspection reports and service documentation to support the development of repair quotations under the guidance of senior estimating or service personnel.

Source pricing for parts, materials, and external services to support the preparation of accurate and competitive estimates.

Follow up on quotations, communicate with customers regarding estimate status, and assist with obtaining approvals for scheduled work.

Prepare quotations for preventative maintenance inspections and scheduled service programs as directed.

Maintain inspection schedules and customer reminder systems to support recurring maintenance programs.

Provide administrative and technical support to field technicians by assisting with repair scoping, documentation, and parts identification.

Coordinate spare parts requests and assist with procurement activities to ensure materials are available for scheduled repairs.

Maintain tracking spreadsheets and records for shop evaluations, equipment teardowns, repair opportunities, quotations, and work in progress.

Work closely with the Service Manager, estimators, technicians, and administrative staff to support daily service operations and customer requirements.

Build technical knowledge of crane equipment, repair methods, labor requirements, and Company estimating standards.

Maintain positive working relationships with customers, vendors, and internal stakeholders while providing professional and responsive service.

Ensure estimating activities are completed in accordance with Company policies, safety standards, and quality expectations.

Continuously develop product knowledge, estimating skills, and industry expertise through on-the-job training and coaching.

Perform other duties and special projects as assigned in support of the Service Department.

Education & Experience

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Post-secondary education in Engineering Technology, Business, Construction, or a related field is an asset.

One (1) to three (3) years of experience in estimating, service, parts, or a mechanical/industrial environment preferred.

Experience with cranes, heavy equipment, or industrial equipment is an asset.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with ERP or service management systems is an asset.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail.

Ability to read and interpret technical documents and service reports.

Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Strong problem-solving and time management abilities.

Proficient with Microsoft Office and able to learn new systems quickly.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
