Position

In a challenging and multicultural environment, we seek for a Intermediate Back-End Software Engineer to join our CCS Department, which stands for “Cash Management & Corporate Banking Services”. Our department is at the heart of many large and deep IT transformation programs of the Bank.

The role will focus primarily on design, development and configuration activities involving Loan Management solutions and the Loanscape Integration Layer applications, supporting CACIB financing operations.

Key Responsibilities

Design and implement a cloud-native Integration Layer Application (Kubernetes, Docker, S3) for Trade Finance, servicing Front and Back Office systems

Develop microservices-based solutions in Java/Spring Boot, applying Domain-Driven Design principles and enterprise integration patterns via Apache Camel

Build and maintain scalable, secure APIs (REST, gRPC) and event-driven architectures using messaging systems such as Apache Kafka or RabbitMQ

Collaborate with the Technical Lead to produce detailed technical specifications and ensure implementation aligns with architecture standards

Incorporate DevSecOps principles throughout the SDLC, including security-by-design, automated testing, and CI/CD pipeline integration

Maintain code quality through unit testing (TDD), BDD practices (Cucumber), code reviews, and static analysis tools (SonarQube, Checkmarx)

Plan and execute application roll-outs across environments, ensuring smooth deployment to production

Analyze and resolve issues across all software development lifecycle stages, including production support, and maintain comprehensive technical documentation

Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field

4-7 years of experience in Java software engineering, ideally in a banking environment

Strong proficiency in Java (8+) and the Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data), with a focus on building scalable microservices using Domain-Driven Design

Hands-on experience with Apache Camel for enterprise integration patterns, and proficiency in API development (REST, gRPC, OpenAPI specs)

Kubernetes proficiency for deploying and managing containerized applications, including Helm charts and resource management; experience containerizing Java applications with Docker/Jib

Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL or equivalent), Hibernate ORM, and at least one messaging system (Kafka, RabbitMQ, or WebSphere MQ)

Good-to-Have:

Experience with cloud-native architectures or public cloud platforms (AWS, GCP)

Familiarity with DevOps tooling: CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, ArgoCD), IaC (Terraform, Ansible), and monitoring stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK)

Basic prompt engineering knowledge for use with AI coding assistants (Copilot, Tabnine, or equivalent)
