UX/UI Designer

Pay Rate: $22.50-$30/hour

About the Role

We are seeking a nearshore UX/UI Designer based in Latin America to join a growing product team. This role will serve as an additional design resource supporting new digital products, modernization initiatives, and ongoing enhancements across existing platforms.

The ideal candidate combines strong user experience fundamentals with polished visual design skills. This individual should be comfortable balancing UX strategy and execution, contributing to collaborative design efforts, and working effectively within a distributed, English-speaking environment.

Key Objectives

Contribute to new product initiatives from concept and discovery through final design delivery.

Improve and modernize existing web and mobile product experiences.

Transform business requirements, user insights, and stakeholder feedback into intuitive user experiences and visually compelling interfaces.

Enhance the team//'s visual design capabilities through strong UI design, illustration, branding, or graphic design expertise.

Collaborate closely with product, engineering, and cross-functional stakeholders throughout the design process.

Responsibilities

Create user flows, customer journeys, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity interface designs.

Participate in discovery activities to define user needs, workflows, usability considerations, and interaction models.

Design user-centered experiences that balance functionality, accessibility, visual appeal, and business objectives.

Contribute to the development and evolution of design systems, component libraries, and reusable design patterns.

Work collaboratively within Figma, ensuring organized files, effective documentation, and smooth handoffs to development teams.

Participate in design reviews and provide thoughtful feedback while incorporating feedback from others.

Manage assigned projects independently and communicate progress, risks, and decisions proactively.

Partner with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure design solutions align with business and user needs.

Required Qualifications

3+ years of professional experience in UX/UI design for digital products.

Demonstrated experience designing web and/or mobile applications.

Strong portfolio showcasing the complete design process, from research and problem definition through final UI execution.

Advanced proficiency with Figma.

Experience working with distributed or remote teams.

Strong written and verbal English communication skills.

Availability to maintain regular overlap with U.S. business hours.

Ability to work independently while remaining highly collaborative and receptive to feedback.

Preferred Qualifications

Strong illustration, visual design, or graphic design capabilities.

Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop and Illustrator.

Background designing SaaS, B2B, enterprise, or workflow-driven applications.

Experience building and maintaining scalable design systems.

Familiarity with developer handoff processes and collaborating closely with engineering teams during implementation.
