About the role

Base Pay from $65,000 + uncapped commission (get paid for every deal you close)

Job Duties:

Business Development & Sales:

Identify and pursue new business opportunities in commercial, industrial, and residential electrical contracting.

Develop and maintain relationships with general contractors, property and facility managers, developers, and other key stakeholders.

Generate leads, prepare proposals, and negotiate contracts to secure new projects.

Collaborate with the estimating team to develop competitive bids and pricing strategies.

Make effective sales presentations, answer questions and objections in an effective and responsible manner.

Aggressively manage proposals to close sales.

Market Expansion & Strategy:

Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor activity, and potential growth areas and identify prospects in the assigned market.

Develop strategic plans to the company’s reach and increase market share.

Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking meetings to promote the company.

Promptly follow up on leads and referrals.

Establish customer rapport and identify needs.

Client Relationship Management:

Serve as the primary point of contact for new and existing clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.

Maintain strong communication with clients throughout the project lifecycle.

Promptly address customer concerns to assure resolution and maintain long-term positive relationships. Keep in mind that the customer's satisfaction is utmost in importance; and positive communication is key to this goal.

Collaboration & Reporting:

Work closely with the operations, estimating, and project management teams to align business goals.

Build rapport and positive working relationships with office staff, field personnel, and management. Incorporate a team-building philosophy into all company relations.

Build rapport and productive working relationships with prospects, customers, vendors and other outside agents. Represent the company in a professional, positive, honest and ethical manner at all times.

Track sales metrics, pipeline activity, and revenue growth.

Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on business development activities.

Qualifications, Skills, and Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred and/or 3-5 years of experience in business development, sales, or a related role in business-to-business sales.

Experience in the Electrical Field a positive, but not required.

Proven track record of generating leads and closing deals.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

Proven track record and experience in meeting new revenue annual sales quotas, identifying budgets, cost justification selling, high cold calling activity driven.

Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Effective time management to plan and efficiently schedule appointments and manage personal time to ensure maximum productivity.

Ability to travel as needed for client meetings and industry events.

Valid State of Wisconsin Driver’s License.
