About the role

Our Project Management Team have a number of permanent opportunities for a Senior Principal Project Manager to lead regional and metro next sources infrastructure projects within the Major Source Projects portfolio through their lifecycle from development through engineering, construction, commissioning and handover.

This is a senior leadership role that ensures our infrastructure projects are delivered with operational readiness, technical excellence, and alignment to long-term strategic goals. These roles will be based in our Leederville office. This position will report to the Project Director, Assets Delivery.

What the role will involve

Engagement with Water Corporations’ Senior Management, and other state government departments

Lead multi-functional Water Corporation project teams through the Asset Acquisition Process

Monitor, control, review and forecast project outcomes including time, cost, and quality

Ensure project risks are captured, mitigation measures are in place and monitor and report on their effectiveness ensuring that issues are dealt with in a timely manner

Report on the project outcomes and prepare progress reports

Prepare and/or review Board Papers, Briefing Notes, media releases or other key stakeholder reporting necessary for the successful delivery of capital projects

Negotiate and establish contracts to procure services, equipment and works to achieve project objectives

About you

You’ll have a qualification in engineering, project management or relevant discipline, along with significant construction management experience delivering infrastructure projects in a large multi-disciplined commercial organisation. We also require experience with alliance procurement models, including tendering, contract award processes and contract administration, with knowledge of complex water related infrastructure assets, schemes and systems. Your demonstrated experience managing, leading multi-disciplinary teams, and ability to collaborate and negotiate with senior stakeholders will ensure success in this role. These positions will report to the Project Director, Assets Delivery.
