About the role

What Buena Does

Buena (backed by GV) makes everything real estate as simple and transparent as buying an ETF. Whether it's finding, buying, or financing an apartment. We do this by acquiring property managers across Germany and turning them into technology companies.

Throughout the past 2 years we have become Germany's second-largest property manager. We manage 70,000+ units, across 12 locations, and 30+ acquired companies. The property management market is €15+ billion in Germany, fragmented across 22,000 small firms, and 96% still run on pre-cloud software.

We're changing that with currently 22 full-time employees in our HQ.

Tasks

Responsibilities

Designing, building, and shipping product features end-to-end, from early ideas to rollout and iteration.

Taking ownership of parts of the product and contributing to architectural decisions that shape how our systems evolve.

Improve performance and reliability across our core systems.

Collaborating closely with product and design to translate real-world operational workflows into simple, reliable, AI-enabled software

Help us shape engineering culture as we grow, be it Engineering Practices, Technical Standards or workflow optimisations.

Requirements

You may be a good fit if you

Have shipped and operated production web applications end-to-end, and are comfortable owning features from idea through deployment and iteration.

Are proficient in TypeScript and have strong experience with React and Node.js (or comparable modern full-stack environments).

Are able to independently design, build, and deliver features with minimal guidance, including making pragmatic product and technical decisions.

Understand how modern web systems work in practice, including APIs, frontend state management and backend architecture.

Take ownership seriously: you care about outcomes, move quickly, and are comfortable making decisions in ambiguous situations without waiting for perfect specifications.
