Software Engineer III, AI/ML, Threat Intelligence

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.

2 years of experience with Vertex AI and AI Platform.

2 years of experience with software development in Python or Go, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.

1 year of experience with one or more of the following: Speech/audio (e.g., technology duplicating and responding to the human voice), reinforcement learning (e.g., sequential decision making), ML infrastructure, or specialization in another ML field.

1 year of experience with ML infrastructure (e.g., model deployment, model evaluation, optimization, data processing, debugging).

Preferred qualifications:

Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields.

2 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.

Experience developing accessible technologies.

Experience in the cybersecurity domain, particularly with malware analysis, threat hunting, or digital risk protection.

As a software engineer, you will work on projects critical to Google Threat Intelligence ecosystem needs. Responsibilities

Design and implement complex features for medium-to-large projects, managing priorities, deadlines, and deliverables independently.

Research, design, and implement AI-driven solutions leveraging large language models for various security-related use cases.

Architect and deploy autonomous and semi-autonomous AI agents capable of performing complex tasks, such as automated malware analysis, threat hunting, or incident response support.

Own the entire lifecycle of AI-powered features, from ideation and prototyping to production deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement.

Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and contribute to the team's engineering standards and best practices.
