Journeyman Heavy Equipment Mechanic – Saskatoon, SK

Squires Industrial Services Ltd. is growing and we're looking for an experienced Journeyman Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.

Our technicians work on a wide variety of equipment for customers in construction, mining, agriculture, transportation, and industrial sectors. No two days are the same.

What You'll Be Working On

Heavy construction equipment

Highway trucks and trailers

Agricultural equipment

Mining equipment

Diesel engines

Hydraulic systems

Electrical diagnostics

Engine, transmission, and differential repairs

Preventative maintenance

Shop and field service repairs

Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair heavy equipment and diesel-powered machinery

Perform preventative maintenance and inspections

Troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, and electronic systems

Complete accurate work orders using our digital shop management system

Communicate professionally with customers and coworkers

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

Participate in after-hours service when required

Qualifications

Journeyman Heavy Equipment Technician (Red Seal preferred)

Valid Class 5 driver's license (Class 1A or 3A is an asset)

Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Experience with CAT, John Deere, Case, Komatsu, Cummins, Detroit, Paccar, and similar equipment

Welding and fabrication experience is considered an asset

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
