Main Duties and Responsibilities
Role Overview
To support the Supervisor and the CDM in delivering best-in-class engineering services, achieving 100% uptime while meeting Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedules in line with contractual obligations. This role is responsible for directing effective corrective maintenance, planning for Critical Environment and Risk Management, and driving industry-leading standards. The primary objectives focus on service delivery, quality, and performance that underpin both JLL WPM and JLL's vision for engineering excellence.
This is a key position requiring excellent teamwork, relationship management, and technical skills. You will play a pivotal role within the contract by supporting the wider team with a "one team ethos" while ensuring we deliver our contractual obligations and achieve excellence throughout the exciting journey of this innovative building.

The Electrical Engineer role is varied and offers the opportunity to work at the forefront of building technology innovation. This position requires developing an in-depth understanding of the BMS Tridium head-end system and DesOps, while driving IoT solutions, building efficiency initiatives, and supporting our commitment to sustainability and wellness standards including WELL and BREEAM certifications.
Service Delivery & Client Management
Represent the hard services team and ensure successful site support for all engineering requirements
Serve as the main interface with site client teams, developing strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders
Cover for the Supervisor when required for all technical activities
Monitor and interface with clients to carry out all user requirements and requests, ensuring Change Requests are submitted on time and correctly
Compliance & Quality Assurance
Conduct audits in line with JLL WPM and JLL processes
Manage compliance upkeep along with site logbooks and Corrigo CAFM System
Ensure all Critical Service processes are developed with a common approach and meet client requirements or appropriate SLAs as per contractual obligations
Ensure all technical activities are carried out to meet JLL WPM health and safety and client safety requirements
Ensure Specialist Service Providers are managed effectively, including confirming worksheets are signed off, quality of work is inspected, and recommendations are swiftly processed
Operations & Maintenance Management
Monitor the Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) system to achieve 100% uptime
Plan, control, and monitor operations and maintenance throughout the building through reporting and audit reviews
Maintain the Asset Management Plan and monitor criticality and condition of assets
Provide benchmarking of equipment and performance
Plan and manage major building shutdowns and critical work events
Review plant and system performance, highlighting solutions and progressing Continuous Improvement and appropriate benchmarking programs
Innovation & Sustainability
Work with smart systems to drive energy performance optimization
Support all agreed ESG outputs and sustainability initiatives
Drive building efficiency initiatives aligned with WELL and BREEAM certification standards
Team Leadership & Development
Develop and manage the technical team with appropriate skills to meet client requirements
Develop and maintain a service team culture focused on improving self-delivery and self-perform capabilities
Provide emergency response leadership, managing the on-site team and communications
Tenant & Stakeholder Coordination
Manage and support tenant fit-outs, including planning, facilitating, and recording
Attend key stakeholder meetings to ensure alignment and successful project delivery

Essential Qualifications
Recognized apprenticeship, HNC in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
Minimum of 5 years' experience in engineering services within critical environments and/or new build projects
High level of technical awareness within FM and new building environments, including:
Power & Distribution (LV, MV, HV)
UPS and emergency electrical generation
HVAC and cooling systems
Technical Knowledge & Skills
Strong understanding of Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), Risk Management (RM), and CAFM systems
Proficiency with Building Management Systems (BMS) and control systems
Experience with smart systems and building technology innovation
IT literate with strong digital competency
Leadership & Management Capabilities
Proven management and leadership skills with the ability to develop and motivate technical teams
Strong organizational skills with a collaborative leadership style
Ability to multitask and work autonomously, planning and managing work under time constraints
High level of initiative with drive to continuously improve building operations and technology integration
Communication & Interpersonal Skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Outstanding customer service skills and client-facing abilities
