Qualcomm Hardware Engineers collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop solutions and meet performance requirements.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field and 6+ years of Hardware Engineering or related work experience.

OR

Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field and 5+ years of Hardware Engineering or related work experience.

OR

PhD in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field and 4+ years of Hardware Engineering or related work experience.

Job Description :

As a CPU CAD Engineer , you will build and support the world’s best analysis tools and flows. Your tools and methodologies will ensure our custom CPUs achieve industry‑leading power, performance, and area (PPA) .

Roles and Responsibilities

Architect and recommend methodology improvements to ensure optimal silicon power, performance, and area .

Maintain, support, and debug STA and timing closure (ECO) flows , and resolve project‑specific issues.

Work closely with worldwide CPU Physical Design teams , providing methodology guidance and tools/flows support.

Collaborate with EDA vendors to define tool roadmaps and resolve tool‑related issues.
