Experienced Dental Receptionist / Future Office Manager Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced, polished, and patient-focused Dental Receptionist to join our growing practice. This is an excellent opportunity for a strong front desk professional who is not only highly capable in reception and scheduling, but who also has the potential to grow into an Office Manager role over time.
We are looking for someone who is warm, confident, efficient, exceptionally organized, and an outstanding communicator. The right candidate will take pride in creating an excellent patient experience, maintaining a smooth and professional front office, and contributing to the continued growth and success of the practice.
Position Details
4 days per week with possibility of 5
Primary location in the West End
Occasional shifts may be required at our Central location(s)
Willingness to travel between locations is considered a strong asset
What We’re Looking For
Minimum 5 years of dental reception/management experience
Minimum 2 professional dental office references
Strong knowledge of dental software
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
Proven strength in booking, scheduling, and patient coordination
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and efficient in a fast-paced environment
Friendly, polished, and professional presence
Dependable, proactive, and solution-oriented
Strong leadership ability, discretion, and professionalism in handling team and HR matters
Experience with growing and managing referrals for a new practice
Preferred Qualifications
Direct experience with dentures and implants is strongly preferred
Candidates without direct denture and implant experience may still be considered, as we are willing to train the right person
Leadership ability and interest in future growth into an Office Manager role is an asset
Flexibility and willingness to travel between office locations is a bonus
French is a bonus but not required
Key Responsibilities
Welcome patients with warmth, professionalism, and confidence
Manage bookings, schedule flow, and front desk coordination
Answer calls, respond to patient inquiries, and support clear communication
Maintain accurate patient records and administrative documentation, responsible for reconciling visa, bank and day end, week end, month end reports.
Support treatment coordination and the overall patient experience
Manage and grow referral relationships, with a strong focus on building West End referrals
Play an important role in helping build out and establish the new West End office
Assist with office staff management, team coordination, and daily front office leadership
Support HR-related responsibilities, including staff communication, onboarding support, scheduling coordination, and maintaining a professional and accountable office environment
Help ensure the office runs smoothly, efficiently, and professionally each day
Contribute positively to team culture, growth, and operational development
