Maintenance Mechanic

Duties and Responsibilities:

Under the supervision of the Manager, Mechanical Services, this job is responsible to carry out Preventive Maintenance work and repair to a variety of mechanical systems and equipment throughout the campus, following acceptable procedures and techniques of the HVAC trade.

Qualifications:

The incumbent must possess the following qualifications:

Demonstrate a mechanical aptitude. Has skills in maintenance and repair procedures, including; preventive maintenance, breakdown repair and trouble-shooting techniques, typical in tasks

Knowledge of proper use and maintenance of hand and power tools related to job function

Ability to read and interpret drawings and manuals related to job function

Ability to effectively work individually, and or as part of a team of diverse groups

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers

Ability to follow through and carry out assignments

Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing

Knowledge of FMP Policies and Procedures

Ability to read and write English

Education and Experience:

The above is normally acquired through the completion of:

Completion of High School Diploma or equivalent

Job requires minimum 3 years of experience in the related field
