General Summary:

Job Overview

Design and develop motherboards/add in cards/modules for Qualcomm new reference designs and SOC simulation platforms. Primary responsibilities include working with cross functional teams (Integrated Platform Solutions, PCB, mechanical, manufacturing, etc.) for execution of projects from concept to production.

Key Responsibilities

Own schematics design, lead PCB layouts, design reviews, component selections, mechanical designs, develop test plans and coordinate manufacturing processes.

Develop functional specifications for systems, cards, sub-systems architectures.

Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to develop and support customer-specific hardware and system requirements.

Assist cross-functional teams in the bring-up and debugging of hardware systems, cards, and SOC configurations.

Collaborate on the development of next-generation devices to evaluate new sensor modalities and data analysis techniques.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field.

5+ years of experience in Hardware Engineering or related discipline.

Strong understanding of microcontroller architecture, digital interfaces such as I2C / I3C, SPI, and UART, and familiarity with analog and digital circuits.

Experience in PCB design, prototyping, and debugging (logic analyzer, oscilloscope).

Excellent debugging, trouble shooting and analytical skills that may be applied to resolve potential system issues.

Experience with schematic capture and PCB layout tools such as Mentor Graphics Xpedition.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Embedded C / C++ firmware development and debugging.

Fundamental knowledge of sensor physics, circuit design, analog analysis, and statistics.

Experience in electromagnetics, EMI/EMC design.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or related field and 2+ years of ASIC design, verification, validation, integration, or related work experience.

OR

Master's degree in Science, Engineering, or related field and 1+ year of ASIC design, verification, validation, integration, or related work experience.

OR

PhD in Science, Engineering, or related field.
