Role: The HR Generalist serves as the primary operational liaison and "connector" between the Booking Holdings NL Corporate Center (“Corp Center”) and the wider Booking.com People infrastructure. Operating in a launch and stabilization phase, this role exists to navigate complex shared services, streamline cross-brand processes, and resolve day-to-day HR operational hurdles in order to secure a seamless employee experience and support the entity’s long-term integration strategy. The successful candidate will blend tactical troubleshooting with process mapping to unlock strategic capacity for the local HRBP team while scaling to support additional ad hoc projects, business processes or initiatives (IE - the End of Year Performance Management and the annual Compensation Evaluation processes and communications).

Key responsibilities:
Coordinate operational HR requests between Corp Center employees and Booking.com teams (including Talent Acquisition, Payroll, People Ops, Mobility, and People Tech) under the guidance of the Sr. HRBP to ensure timely execution of day-to-day transactional workflows.
Troubleshoot complex systems and access issues across multiple corporate applications (such as Workday, ServiceNow, and IT profiles) for local employees to maximize productivity and remove friction from the onboarding and day-to-day experience.
Map and document localized business processes in accordance with Netherlands compliance and Corp Center requirements to build a clear blueprint that bridges procedural gaps for business leaders managing cross-brand team members. This includes managing employee-related processes such as position management, onboarding and talent management. Recommend opportunities for improvement or for increased efficiencies, guiding any implementation needs as a result.
Support execution of critical year-end cycles, specifically the End-of-Year performance reviews and CompEval frameworks, providing hands-on support and clarity to leaders navigating these systems and processes (both the Workday process and performance calibration process) within the Corp Center for the first time.
Manage and audit headcount tracking in alignment with internal frameworks to ensure accurate data tracking for financial reporting.
Partner with the HRBP team and Communications team to draft and distribute clear, timely operational updates to managers and employees, keeping teams informed through process timelines, organizational updates and project implementations .
Partner with Sr. HR Business Partner in employee relations processes and cases including absence, performance management, disciplinary procedures and outcomes. Help in identifying proactive solutions to chronic issues.
Ad hoc project management in a dynamic and fast-paced environment; able to ensure key projects / initiatives and transactional tasks are simultaneously prioritized, managed and executed well and in a timely manner. Able to work in a complex environment with shifting priorities and a fragmented system infrastructure is key.
Key skills and experience:
3 - 5 years in HR role
Solid foundational understanding of Dutch labor landscapes, HR lifecycle processes, and automated HR management platforms (Workday experience required and ServiceNow experience preferred)
Strong technical aptitude with a natural ability to troubleshoot systems access, integration, and data issues independently
Excellent interpersonal, negotiation and conflict resolution skills; consistently operating with a learner mindset
Excellent organizational skills and attention-to-detail
Able to shift priorities in a fast-paced environment
Proficient in Workday
Proficient in Google Suite (especially Google Sheets and Docs), with curiosity to continuously learn more about each program
Ability to learn new systems quickly
Experience working with AI tools such as Gemini, Notebook LM, and other AI tools to automate
Ability to act with integrity, professionalism and confidentiality
Proven experience operating within a large, complex corporate HR environment; previous familiarity with the Booking.com or Booking Holdings infrastructure is highly advantageous
