Job Description

3 days per week in the office

Brisbane CBD

We are seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable, cloud-native applications and microservices. You will work within an agile product team delivering high-quality software across backend services, APIs, and modern cloud infrastructure.

This is a hands-on senior role with responsibility for technical design, system reliability, and mentoring other engineers.

What you’ll do

Design and build .NET microservices and distributed systems

Develop and maintain services running on AWS (essential)

Build and integrate REST APIs, with exposure to gRPC / Protobuf

Work with Docker and Kubernetes in production environments

Ensure systems are scalable, secure, observable, and performant

Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and DevOps practices

Support production systems, including troubleshooting and optimisation

Participate in technical design and architecture discussions

Mentor and support other engineers

Qualifications

5+ years’ experience in backend or full stack software development

Strong experience with C# and .NET

Proven experience building microservices and distributed systems

Strong experience with AWS cloud services (essential)

Solid experience with Docker and Kubernetes

Strong understanding of REST APIs, CI/CD, and Git workflows

Experience with relational databases (e.g. PostgreSQL) and query optimisation

Experience working in agile, DevOps-driven environments

Nice to have

Experience with event-driven architectures and messaging systems (e.g. RabbitMQ)

Experience with Redis or similar in-memory data stores

Exposure to Elasticsearch or other search technologies

Observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry)

Infrastructure-as-code (Terraform / CloudFormation)

Frontend development experience
