Job Description
Role Summary
The Senior Manager, Global Deals Team plays a key role within Visa’s global deal team, partnering with regional and local account teams to structure, coordinate, and deliver complex, multi-market commercial agreements across Global Accounts. The role focuses on driving high-quality deal execution across the full lifecycle—from early-stage structuring and financial modeling through negotiation support and contracting—while ensuring alignment across internal and external stakeholders, regions, and varying market, regulatory, and commercial dynamics. A key priority is to drive pricing simplification and cost transparency, embed governance and cost-certainty mechanisms into deal structures, and ensure consistency between contractual commitments and executive messaging, improving deal quality, velocity, and win outcomes.
Key Competencies & Expertise
Strong commercial and pricing expertise, including issuing, acquiring, processing and value-added services (VAS)
Experience working with Visa's data platforms (i.e. GOA/GBI), in order to align commercial outcomes with performance metrics
Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel (financial modeling, scenario analysis, deal economics)
Strong understanding of deal governance frameworks, including approval processes and compliance considerations
Solid legal acumen, in order to draft and accurately interpret Client Incentive Agreements (CIAs) taking into account legal, fiscal, compliance and competition perspectives
Working knowledge of accounting principles (desirable), particularly in relation to deal structuring, incentives, and revenue recognition
Key Responsibilities:
Deal Structuring, Governance & Execution
Drive end-to-end execution of complex global deals and RFP responses in partnership with Global Deal Leads and regional account teams
Lead key workstreams within deals, including commercial structuring, financial modeling and coordination of cross-functional inputs
Apply structured analysis to translate client requirements into viable, scalable commercial solutions
Develop and assess deal scenarios, supporting decision-making through data-driven insights
Drive pricing simplification and cost transparency in global proposals
Embed governance frameworks and cost-certainty mechanisms into deal structures, ensuring alignment with internal processes and approvals
Ensure consistency between pricing models, contractual terms, and client-facing messaging
Identify risks and trade-offs, supporting development of balanced and competitive commercial solutions
Stakeholder Coordination & Influence
Coordinate deal activities across regional teams and key functions (Finance, Legal, Product, Risk, Client Incentives, etc.)
Drive alignment across stakeholders, ensuring timely inputs and consistent deal narratives
Contribute to internal discussions with clear, fact-based insights and constructive recommendations
Support client discussions and negotiation processes in partnership with global deal leads
Deal Process & Operational Excellence
Manage deal workflow and timelines across multiple geographies and stakeholders
Identify barriers proactively and resolve issues to improve deal efficiency and sales velocity
Contribute to development of deal templates, pricing approaches, and best practices
Support knowledge sharing across regional deal teams to drive consistency and continuous improvement
Team Contribution
Collaborate closely within the Global Deals Team to deliver consistent, high-quality outcomes
Share insights and best practices across regions
Support onboarding and knowledge transfer for newer team members where relevant
Qualifications
Desirable Experience & Profile
Proven experience in deal structuring, commercial strategy, or complex sales environments
Strong experience working on multi-stakeholder, cross-functional projects or transactions
Exposure to global clients and multi-market deal environments preferred
Experience in payments, financial services, or similar industries is a plus
