As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will provide technical leadership in the design, review, and oversight of mechanical systems across major projects, ensuring all work complies with engineering standards, codes, and contract specifications. You will mentor junior engineers, support cross-disciplinary coordination, and play a key role in delivering safe, efficient, and high-quality project outcomes.

Salary range: $80,000 - $100,000 (based on relevant experience, qualifications, and skills).
What you will be doing:
Plan, direct, and coordinate on-site mechanical and electrical activities to comply with specifications, requirements, and codes
Coordinate all relevant drawings and information to eliminate interference problems
Provide directions during functional performance testing of all mechanical and electrical systems
Assist Project Managers and Superintendents in updating and achieving schedule requirements, mechanical and electrical RFI’s and shop drawings and administrate mechanical/electrical project completion requirements
Provide technical engineering information and interpretation of plans, detail sheets, and specifications for contractors
Report accurate quantities for labour cost reports and accurately monitor material ledgers to ensure quantities in estimate are sufficient to complete the project
Find solutions to conflicts in structural, architectural, mechanical, and electrical drawings and specifications and follow-up with consultants and sub-trades to completion
Review scope for early procurement items
Responsible of M&E subcontractor cost and tracking and deviations from initial contract
Commissioning of the equipment’s and hand over
What we are looking for:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or other related discipline
Engineer in Training (EIT) required; Professional Engineering License (PE/PENG) preferred.
5-7 years of relevant experience in heavy civil projects or bridges structures
Ability to read and understand construction drawings and specifications
Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
Knowledge with MS Project is required
Knowledge of SketchUp is recommended
Knowledge of AutoCAD preferred
Ability to analyze data
Strong work ethic
