Visa USA Inc., a Visa Inc. company, needs a Sr. Consultant (multiple openings) in Foster City CA to:Design and implement data governance frameworks to optimize data access, usage, and sharing across Visa’s global payment network.Connect policies to common data analytics performed by VCA and develop compliance checklists and toolkits.Develop processes for tracking inquiries and connecting data use tickets to project tracking tool.Collaborate with VCA members in the EU/CEMEA/AP regions to navigate ambiguous policy situations.Establish various data oversight frameworks, privacy and confidentiality policies.Respond to nuanced policy inquiries in a timely and professional manner, identify potential risks, and suggest mitigation strategies.Position reports to the Foster City, California office and may allow for partial telecommuting.
Basic Qualifications:Master’s degree in Data Science, Data Analytics, Engineering or related field and 5 years of experience in the job offered or in a Sr. Consultant-related occupation.Position requires experience in the following:Experience performing data governance responsibilities within an organization, including interpreting and executing governance frameworks, policies, and procedures.Experience building and operationalizing privacy frameworks based on data privacy principles and regulatory standards (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams—including product, engineering, and analytics groups—to shape data-enabled solutions, ensure governance alignment, and support delivery of strategic initiatives.Proficiency in using data insights and key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate program performance, measure initiative outcomes, and communicate results to stakeholders.Certification in privacy and data protection frameworks such as CIPP/US, CIPM, or CIPT (IAPP) required. Certification in Power BI or Tableau required.
Worksite: Foster City, CAThis is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.Travel Requirements: This position does not require travel.Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.Visa is an EEO Employer.
