About the role
Job description:
Source and procure raw materials, packaging materials, components, and indirect materials required for production.
Issue Purchase Orders (PO) and monitor delivery schedules to ensure on-time material availability.
Liaise with suppliers regarding pricing, quotations, quality issues, and delivery performance.
Negotiate costs, payment terms, and supply agreements to achieve cost savings.
Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with Production, Planning, and Warehouse teams.
Evaluate supplier performance and develop alternative sources to minimize supply risks.
Ensure purchasing activities comply with company policies and procedures.
Prepare purchasing reports and maintain accurate procurement records.
Support cost reduction and continuous improvement initiatives.
Job Requirements
Diploma or Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Purchasing, Logistics, or related fields.
Minimum 2 years of purchasing or procurement experience in a manufacturing environment.
Experience in plastic injection moulding, electronics, automotive, or related manufacturing industries will be an advantage.
Strong negotiation, communication, and supplier management skills.
Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office applications.
Able to work independently and handle multiple priorities.
Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM6,000.00 per month
