Java + AI Engineer (Agentic AI)

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain scalable applications using Java 17/21 and Spring Boot.

Build and deploy AI-powered enterprise applications leveraging Large Language Models (LLMs).

Design and implement Agentic AI solutions, including autonomous agents, planning, orchestration, tool calling, and multi-step reasoning.

Develop and integrate RESTful APIs and microservices with AI components.

Implement Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines using vector databases and embedding models.

Integrate AI models with enterprise systems while ensuring performance, scalability, and security.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver production-grade AI solutions.

Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and technical design sessions.

Required Skills

5–7+ years of hands-on experience in Java application development.

Strong expertise in Core Java (Java 17/21 preferred).

Solid experience with Spring Boot, REST APIs, and Microservices Architecture.

Hands-on experience building applications using Large Language Models (LLMs) such as OpenAI, Anthropic (Claude), Gemini, Llama, or similar.

Practical experience in Agentic AI development, including AI agents, workflow orchestration, planning, memory management, and tool integration.

Experience with one or more AI frameworks such as:

LangGraph

LangChain

CrewAI

AutoGen

Semantic Kernel

Spring AI

or equivalent frameworks

Strong understanding of RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) architectures.

Experience with Vector Databases such as Pinecone, Weaviate, ChromaDB, Milvus, pgvector, or similar.

Experience integrating AI capabilities into enterprise applications.

Good understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.

Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.

Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Model Context Protocol (MCP).

Knowledge of AI workflow orchestration and prompt engineering.

Experience building multi-agent AI systems.

Understanding of event-driven architectures.

Prior experience in the Banking or Financial Services domain is an advantage.
