R&D Assistant (Food Manufacturing | Fresh Graduates Welcome)
About the role
We are a recruitment agency hiring on behalf of our client, an established food manufacturing company.
We are looking for a responsible and detail-oriented R&D Assistant to support the R&D team in product trials, sample preparation, basic laboratory testing, quality monitoring, and documentation.
This position is suitable for fresh graduates in Food Science, Food Technology, or related fields who are interested in building a career in food product development.
What You'll Do
Assist the R&D team in preparing food prototypes and product samples.
Prepare and weigh ingredients for product trials.
Assist with mixing, processing, and preparation during R&D trials.
Prepare equipment, ingredients, and workstations before trials.
Participate in sensory evaluations and provide feedback.
Record trial formulations, processing parameters, observations, and results accurately.
Perform basic laboratory and quality tests.
Assist in hygiene inspections and production quality monitoring.
Monitor production processes and CCPs according to food safety and quality requirements.
Report any non-conformities or abnormalities to the relevant team.
Prepare product samples for internal meetings or evaluation.
Monitor R&D raw material stock and assist with replenishment when required.
Maintain proper R&D records and prepare simple reports.
Support other R&D activities as assigned.
Requirements
Diploma or Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or related fields.
Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
Candidates with 1 year of experience in food manufacturing, R&D, QA/QC, or laboratory work will have an added advantage.
Good attention to detail and willing to learn.
Responsible, organised, and able to work well in a team.
Able to work independently with guidance.
Able to adapt to a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.
Good communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
Able to communicate in Mandarin will be an added advantage,

Pay: RM2,300.00 - RM2,800.00 per month
