About the role

Job Responsibilities

Lead and oversee daily production operations to ensure production targets, quality standards and delivery requirements are achieved.

Plan and manage production activities, manpower allocation, machine capacity and production schedules.

Lead and develop the Production team, including Supervisors, Technicians and Operators, to achieve departmental KPIs.

Monitor key production performance indicators including productivity, yield, efficiency, downtime, scrap and on-time delivery.

Ensure all production activities comply with applicable quality, safety, GMP and medical device manufacturing requirements.

Work closely with Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, Planning and other departments to resolve production and process-related issues.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve productivity, process efficiency, yield and overall manufacturing performance.

Identify root causes of production problems and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.

Monitor production capacity and recommend manpower, equipment and process improvements to support business requirements.

Ensure proper documentation and adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Work Instructions and manufacturing procedures.

Support new product introduction, process validation, process improvement and other manufacturing projects.

Prepare and review production reports and provide regular updates on production performance and improvement plans to management.

Promote a strong culture of quality, discipline, safety and continuous improvement within the production team.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering or a related field.

Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in manufacturing, with at least 2–3 years in a Production Manager / Production Manager-equivalent role.

Experience in medical device manufacturing, precision plastic injection moulding, cleanroom manufacturing or other highly regulated manufacturing environments is highly preferred.

Good knowledge of production planning, manpower management, process control and manufacturing operations.

Familiarity with ISO 13485, GMP, quality systems and medical device manufacturing requirements will be an added advantage.

Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement and problem-solving methodologies.

Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to lead a sizeable production team.

Good analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Proficient in Microsoft Office and relevant production/manufacturing systems.

Willing to work in Ulu Tiram, Johor.

Pay: RM10,000.00 - RM15,000.00 per month
