About the role
Job Responsibilities
Plan, coordinate, and manage new product development (NPI) and engineering projects from initiation to mass production.
Work closely with customers, production, tooling, quality, and other cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution.
Develop project schedules, monitor progress, and ensure projects are completed within scope, budget, and timeline.
Coordinate tooling fabrication, product trials, validation, and engineering changes.
Review technical drawings, specifications, and customer requirements to ensure project feasibility.
Identify project risks and implement corrective and preventive actions to minimize delays.
Monitor project costs and prepare project status reports for management and customers.
Support process improvements and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and product quality.
Liaise with suppliers, contractors, and customers regarding project-related activities.
Job Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum 3–5 years of working experience in project engineering, preferably in a plastic injection moulding or manufacturing environment.
Experience in managing new product introduction (NPI), engineering projects, or tooling projects will be an added advantage.
Knowledge of plastic injection moulding processes, manufacturing operations, and production planning.
Ensure compliance with company quality standards, customer requirements, and safety regulations.
Perform any other duties assigned by the management.
Able to interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and customer requirements.
Familiarity with project management principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications. Experience with ERP systems and CAD software will be an added advantage.
Able to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM8,000.00 per month
