Job description:
Their main responsibility is to ensure the company benefits from Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) by meeting the rules of origin and preparing the necessary documentation so customers can enjoy reduced or zero import duties.
Job Responsibilities
Manage and coordinate all matters related to Free Trade Agreements (FTA) and trade compliance.
Ensure products meet the Rules of Origin (ROO) requirements under applicable FTAs.
Prepare, verify, and apply for Certificates of Origin (COO) and other trade-related documents.
Classify products using the correct HS Codes and ensure compliance with customs regulations.
Coordinate with internal departments, suppliers, freight forwarders, and customers to obtain the necessary documentation for FTA applications.
Monitor and ensure compliance with Malaysian Customs regulations and international trade requirements.
Maintain accurate FTA records and documentation for audits and regulatory inspections.
Keep abreast of updates to trade agreements, customs regulations, and import/export policies.
Support customs compliance initiatives and provide guidance on FTA-related matters.
Liaise with government authorities, customs, and relevant agencies regarding FTA and trade compliance issues.
Perform any other duties assigned by the management.
Job Requirements
Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in International Trade, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum 2–5 years of working experience in FTA, customs, import/export, or trade compliance within a manufacturing environment.
Good knowledge of Free Trade Agreements (FTA), Rules of Origin (ROO), HS Code classification, and Certificate of Origin (COO) application procedures.
Familiar with Malaysian Customs regulations and international
trade compliance requirements.
Experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably plastic injection moulding or export-oriented manufacturing, will be an added advantage.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
Able to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM7,000.00 per month
