Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and compassionate Travel Endocrinology Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant to join our team. As a Travel Endocrinology Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive care to patients with endocrine disorders, including diabetes, thyroid conditions, and other hormone-related issues. This is an exciting opportunity to make a difference in the lives of patients while working alongside a dedicated team of healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive healthcare services and coordinate patient care
Assessing and treating patients with endocrinology diseases and conditions
Work closely with a team of healthcare professionals
Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history reviews and physical examinations
Order and interpret diagnostic tests
Develop accurate diagnoses and treatment plans
Travel regularly to multiple nursing homes within the designated region to deliver on-site care
Maintain a flexible schedule to accommodate facility visits and optimize patient coverage
Requirements
Minimum 6 months of experience in long-term care or a skilled nursing facility
Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, or Physician license
DEA License
CPR BCLS/BLS certified
Must hold a Master's Degree in Nursing
Completed a degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
A year of experience in Endocrinology
Preferred experience in Documenting EMR (Sigma, Visual, PCC, etc.): training provided
Must have great organizational and time management skills.
Reliable transportation
Must be willing to travel to different nursing homes within the state of Indiana (100% commitment)
Must be able to lift a minimum of 20 pounds and stand / walk / work on your feet up to 6-8 hours per day
