Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Psychologist (PhD or PsyD) to join our growing team. The ideal candidate is passionate about serving diverse populations, values collaborative care, and is eager to make a meaningful impact in an urban community setting. Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations, including diagnostic interviews and standardized testing (e.g., personality, IQ, behavioral)
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans using evidence-based interventions (e.g., CBT, DBT, trauma-informed care)
Provide psychotherapy to residents primarily in skilled nursing and long-term care settings, with opportunities for outpatient or community-based work if desired
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (psychiatrists, social workers, nurses, educators) to ensure holistic care
Provide psychoeducation to clients and families, promoting mental health awareness and resilience
Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations
Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and ongoing professional development
Requirements
Doctoral degree in Clinical, Counseling, or School Psychology (PhD or PsyD) from an APA-accredited program
Current New York State Psychologist License
Minimum of 1–2 years of supervised clinical experience; postdoctoral experience preferred
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with culturally and linguistically diverse populations
Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
