Accounts All Rounder / Bookkeeper

FAL Group is a small, close knit team doing work across a genuinely interesting group of businesses. We are looking for an Accounts All Rounder who wants to get their hands on the full spread of bookkeeping, not just one slice of it. Most importantly, we want a doer - someone who sees what needs doing and gets on with it, rather than waiting to be asked. If you take pride in getting the numbers exactly right, and you are the kind of person who spots a loose end and ties it off without being told, we would love to hear from you.

About the role

This is a true all-rounder position. You will own the day to day accounts function and see the full cycle through, from the first invoice to a clean month end. Because we are a small team, you will have real ownership and real visibility - which means we need someone who takes the initiative, follows things through to the end, and does not let things sit. You will work closely with people who value what you do.

What you will be doing

Accounts payable and accounts receivable from end to end

Bank reconciliations and general reconciliations

Preparing and posting journals

Processing payments and payment runs

Month end close

General accounts administration to keep everything running smoothly

What you will bring

3 or more years of experience in a bookkeeping or accounts role

Sharp attention to detail and a genuine care for accuracy

Solid understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, journals, reconciliations and month end

Experience with Xero, or the confidence to get up to speed quickly

A proactive, self-starting attitude - you chase down answers, follow up without prompting, and take ownership rather than waiting for direction

A positive spirit and a collaborative mindset - you enjoy working with others and pulling towards better outcomes together

A real appetite to keep learning and to find better ways of doing things
