Your Opportunity:

The Senior Project Manager is a new and exciting position within Assisted Living Alberta. This position will interact with all parts of the organization, implementing key initiatives that will have long lasting impact for this new organization. The successful applicant will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering strategic projects that support the development, enhancement, and sustainability of services, initiatives, and programs across Assisted Living Alberta. This role leads cross-functional initiatives involving operations, clinical teams, corporate areas, community partners, government stakeholders, and service providers to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and aligned with organizational objectives and provincial regulations. The successful applicant can reside anywhere in the province of Alberta.

Description:

Reporting to the Executive Director, the Senior Project Manager oversees all phases of project delivery, including business case development, planning, stakeholder engagement, risk management, implementation, and performance evaluation. The incumbent will assess requirements, identify solutions to complex issues and requests, follow evidence-informed methodologies, and ensure Assisted Living Alberta (ALA) values, goals and principles are implemented and integrated across all projects. Success in this position requires strong leadership, relationship management, and change management skills, along with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a complex and evolving healthcare and community services environment. The Senior Project Manager acts as a key liaison between executive leadership, operational teams, external partners, and regulatory bodies, driving initiatives that enhance the resident experience and support the organization's strategic vision. Key Areas of Responsibility: Lead and manage strategic and operational projects from inception through completion. Develop project plans, budgets, schedules, and resource requirements. Facilitate stakeholder engagement and communication across diverse groups. Monitor project risks, issues, and mitigation strategies. Ensure compliance with provincial legislation, regulations, and organizational policies. Support change management and adoption of new programs, processes, and technologies. Track project performance and prepare status reports for leadership. Collaborate with clinical, operational, financial, and community partners to achieve project objectives. Identify opportunities for continuous improvement, innovation, and service enhancement.

Required Qualifications:

A post-graduate degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Project Management or a related field.

Additional Required Qualifications:

A minimum of 5-7 years of progressive project management experience, including leading complex operational and strategic initiatives. Experience managing projects through full project lifecycle including planning, implementation, monitoring, evaluation, and project close. Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional teams and coordinating diverse stakeholder groups. Experience with organizational change management, process improvement, and business transformation initiatives. Experience developing business cases, project plans, budgets, risk assessments, and executive level reports. Experience managing competing priorities and deadlines. Experience supporting strategic planning initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications:

Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent designation. Experience working in a healthcare environment or an equivalent complex organization.

Compensation
