We’re looking to hire a full-time Quality Engineer to join our Quality Control team! The Quality Engineer is responsible for generating risk analysis documents, investigating quality issues and product complaints, perform quality audits, and develop and maintain procedures.
Job Duties
Lead a cross function team in the development of FMEA and control plan during APQP.
Administrate the PPAP submission process, including the submission to the customer as well as determining the requirements of the suppliers.
Liaise with the customer and suppliers to investigate current or potential quality issues and implement corrective actions.
Ensure compliance to all customer requirements.
Perform internal and supplier audits.
Developing and implementing quality control systems.
Support for Production QC staff as needed and work in collaboration with Supervisors to resolve quality issues.
Analyze, identify, and implement process improvements which will improve capability to ensure consistent product. Utilize various methods to predict and detect quality concerns to lower or eliminate customer complaints.

Outstanding organizational skills, enabling effective multitasking and project management.
Ability to read and interpret manufacturing drawings and specifications into our process and quality plans.
Good working knowledge of GD &T, FMEA, and Control Plans.
Good computer literacy and ability to work with computer programs such as MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Position Requirements:
Mechanical Engineering Technology / Technician diploma and / or related work experience.
Excellent investigative and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
2+ years of experience in quality engineering, quality assurance, or a similar role.
Experience with QA software tools and processes.
Experience with APQP, PPAP, and FMEA.
Experience working in an ISO 9001:2015 environment.
Fluent in English.
Ability to travel to the US and within Canada.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Decision making ability coupled with the ability to work independently and proactively.
Excellent project management skills.
Advanced computer / report writing skills –Microsoft Office and Excel.
