The impact you’ll make
This position will be part of Lam Research Global Supply Chain Organization. The primary role is to develop and execute to the strategy for the Major Modules with the Remote Factories/ Contract Manufacturers within the supply chain organization. This role will be responsible for the development of new suppliers and maintaining the suppliers’ core competencies to support local and global business requirements. Portfolio also includes developing outsourcing capabilities for capacity flexibility and developing plans and metrics for annual cost savings.
What you’ll do
Develop & deploy new suppliers for critical technology in a fast-paced, high mix, low volume environment for capacity flexibility & reducing lead time
Development of plans & metrics for annual cost savings
Develop & maintain suppliers’ core competencies to support local/global business requirements and their capacity plans & articulate constraints for long term planning
Negotiate contracts (purchase agreements, ISA’s and etc.) and identify/execute on pricing inflection points
Manage Lam liabilities at suppliers through claims and balance sheet review processes
Manage Lam working capital through lead time strategies including postponement, consignment and inventory stocking strategies
Continuity planning & risk mitigation
Evaluate cost & quality performance benchmarks and risks associated with the preferred supply base selection
Develop & maintain working knowledge of Lam’s quality management system and properly apply quality procedures and operating procedures as appropriate
Receiving deemed exports of EAR or ITAR controlled technology
Carry out technical and commercial projects and all other additional duties as assigned
Write effective reports on development of progress of projects
Take on ad-hoc duties as and when assigned by the Immediate Supervisor
Who we’re looking for
Bachelor degree or equivalent with more than 5 years related experience in a supply chain role with progressive responsibility
Proven ability to gain partnerships and excel on a cross-functional teams
Experience in procurement and supplier management is desirable
Ability to interpret technical documents (i.e. blueprints/drawings/BOM)
Experience in using SAP system is a MUST
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with history of successful resolution
Effective negotiation and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage multiple processes and projects in fast paced environment with sense of urgency
Team player, independent and meticulous

Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. ‘On-site Flex’ you’ll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. ‘Virtual Flex’ you’ll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
