About the Team

The AI Data Service and Operations (ADSO) team is responsible for providing safety and non-safety data annotation services and search operation services for all of the company's international products, which can also help international products build their own data ecological security.

The Safety Model Operations [SMO] team within ADSO is responsible for building, optimizing, and maintaining machine learning models and operational processes that support TikTok's Trust & Safety systems. We ensure that automated safety models perform effectively in identifying harmful content, mitigating risks, and maintaining a safe user environment across regions.

What will I do?

1. Team & Business Output: As the Operations Leader, you will oversee and lead the team to complete the planning, implementation, and delivery of the full lifecycle of safety model data production.

2. Business-Driven & Results-Oriented: Deeply understand product forms and business logic, develop and optimize strategies and project plans, break down complex tasks and standardize processes, and drive the achievement of various metrics with a focus on final business outcomes (such as improved data production efficiency and optimized model performance).

3. Cross-Team Collaboration: Results-oriented; work closely with upstream and downstream teams such as Product, Algorithm, and Data Science to identify business pain points, produce high-standard business solutions, and strongly drive implementation.

4. Data & AI Empowerment: Use data analysis methods to evaluate business and model performance, identify issues, and propose targeted solutions; lead or participate in AI-related projects (such as model performance optimization and model evaluation system building), and explore innovative applications of AI in the business.

5. Process & Mechanism Optimization: Consolidate the team's best practices, develop and continuously improve work processes, collaboration mechanisms, and quality standards to improve the team's overall operational efficiency.

6. Team Management: Lead, manage, and develop the operations team — including setting clear goals and priorities, coaching team members, monitoring performance, and building a high-performing, accountable team culture.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

1. Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Information Management, Artificial Intelligence, or related fields along with 5 years of relevant working experience in product operations, strategy operations, product management, data operations, AI operations, or related fields.

2. At least 2 years of team management experience, with proven ability to lead teams through complex operational delivery and cross-functional projects.

3. Strong experience in full-cycle project management and process design/standardization. Skilled at identifying optimization opportunities and driving improvements; possesses systems-thinking and solution architecture mindset.

4. High business acumen, able to break down complex problems and measure the value of work based on clear business outcomes.

5. Solid data analysis skills to identify process issues and opportunities via insights; proficient with SQL and Excel for analysis and retrospectives.

6. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, able to build efficient and healthy working relationships with teams from different backgrounds; strong sense of responsibility, with excellent logical thinking and sharp data insight.

7. Excellent proficiency in both written and spoken English

Preferred Qualifications

Exposure to or practical experience in AI, large language models (LLM), or related cutting-edge technology fields; candidates who can connect AI technology to business direction are preferred.
