Management Accountant
Masterlink Group, Irelands logistics service provider of choice is currently recruiting for a Management Accountant to join our finance team in Blarney, Co Cork. This role is a key role within our Distribution business unit.
Masterlink Group comprises logistics, distribution and freight forwarding business units, offering end-to-end integrated solutions to our customers. The Group generates €150m annual turnover, with the Distribution unit contributing c.€30m of overall group turnover.
The successful candidate will report to the Group Financial Controller, working closely with the Group CFO and the Group’s Executive team. This is a challenging but exciting hands-on role which requires a strong commercial awareness.
Job Description
· Financial Management of Distribution sector of the business
· Budgeting & Forecasting prepare budgets for distribution business units & agree with key stakeholders
· Weekly P&L Reports finalisation and review of weekly P&L reports. Weekly discussions and review of reports with depot heads.
· Cost Control evaluate, monitor, and reduce depot expenses to increase profitability. Work with depot managers to ensure adherence to budgets.
· Supplier Management responsibility of key supplier accounts.
· Commercial Finance support business development team with tenders, quotations and pricing agreements and reviews.
· Quarterly Business Review lead financial review of the Distribution unit, working with depot heads to report to the Senior Management team (CEO, CFO, COO & Executive)
· Management Accountants work with Financial Accounting team to support in the preparation and review of quarterly Group accounts (variance analysis for their relevant business unit etc.)
· Adhoc reports as required
Position Requirements
· Qualified Accountant with 7+ years’ PQE
· Strong commercial awareness
· Ability to influence key business partners
· Focused self-driven person who can work on their own initiative and as part of a wider team
· Strong analytical, presentation and communication skills
· Key traits such as reliability, integrity, positive attitude, adaptability & the ability to multitask
· Ability and willingness to travel to our multiple locations throughout Ireland
Remuneration & Other
· A competitive salary package based on experience
· Hybrid working option available (after initial 6 months)
Pay: €65,000.00-€75,000.00 per year
