What you might expect: Integration with client’s senior management to solve complex accounting issues and for preparation of proposed resolutions. Review of work prepared by consultants on operational due diligence for complex transactions (i.e. – acquisitions and divestitures, stock offerings, debt raises, IPO’s). Review of consultants’ deliverables of financial and regulatory information in accordance with SEC and regulatory requirements (i.e. – 10K’s, 10Q’s, S-1 and S-4 filings, audit coordination). Research and documentation projects related to new ASC accounting standards. Process improvement projects and implementation of changes. Lead and mentor consultants, acting as a role model, and providing creative solutions that enhance the consultant’s overall experience. Participate in the firm’s recruiting efforts, client relationship building, and business development efforts.

What you must have: 5–8 years of experience in public accounting, accounting advisory, consulting, and/or corporate accounting/finance. Minimum of 2 years of experience at a Big 4 firm (Deloitte, EY, KPMG, or PwC).

What sets you apart: Experience applying U.S. GAAP through financial statement preparation, audit engagements, month-end close, financial reporting, or technical accounting research. Experience leading engagement workstreams, supervising staff, and managing project timelines and deliverables. Experience reviewing work product, providing guidance to junior team members, and serving as a primary point of contact for clients. Experience applying accounting and financial reporting knowledge to solve complex business and accounting challenges.

Nice to have: CPA license or active progress toward CPA certification. Experience with SEC reporting and filings, including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, and S-1, or public-company financial reporting environments. Experience performing technical accounting research, preparing accounting memoranda, and/or applying guidance in complex accounting areas, including revenue recognition, leases, business combinations, or stock-based compensation.
