Join Shipco IT as an Associate – Application Developer
At Shipco IT, we’re the technology engine behind global logistics operations – designing, developing, and maintaining systems that keep freight moving efficiently across the world. As an Application Developer, you’ll help build and enhance applications that power these operations, combining strong technical skills, analytical thinking, and creativity to deliver high-quality software used across multiple regions.
This role is ideal for someone who’s passionate about clean, maintainable code, system performance, and continuous improvement. You’ll be part of a collaborative, global team that values innovation, reliability, and learning – where your code won’t sit on a shelf, but will support business-critical systems and real-world logistics challenges every day.
What You'll Do…
Build and Enhance Business-Critical Applications: Design, develop, and maintain high-performance scalable React web applications.
Collaborate with a Dynamic Team: Work closely with cross-functional experts to deliver innovative solutions and your technical expertise.
Contribute Across the Software Lifecycle: Engage in planning, development, deployment, and ongoing maintenance of applications.
Analyze and Design Solutions: Evaluate requirements, identify challenges, and deliver scalable, well-documented system solutions.
Stay Current with Technologies: Explore the latest tools, frameworks, and industry trends to keep solutions innovative and efficient.
Ensure Code Quality, Performance, and Reliability: Drive testing, optimization, and code reviews to uphold high standards, enforce coding best practices, and continuously improve application stability and performance.
Troubleshoot and Optimize Production Systems: Proactively identify, debug, and resolve technical issues and performance bottlenecks to ensure stable, reliable operation of business-critical applications.
What You’ll Need…
Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent experience), supported by relevant React certifications and experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
5+ years of hands-on React development experience, including designing, developing, maintaining, modernizing, and migrating legacy applications to Reactbased, scalable micro-frontend architectures with seamless SPA integrations.
Strong expertise in ReactJS, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, modern CSS, Tailwind CSS, and modern React frameworks (Next.js, Remix, or Vite), with the ability to build responsive, accessible, and user-centric interfaces following UI/UX best practices.
Experience with React ecosystem tools and patterns, including state management (Redux Toolkit, Zustand, TanStack Query), form handling and validation (React Hook Form, Zod, Yup), reusable component libraries, design systems, NPM dependency management, and REST API integration using OpenAPI/Swagger specifications.
Solid understanding of software engineering best practices, including ObjectOriented Programming (OOP), Test-Driven Development (TDD), unit and UI testing using Jest, React Testing Library and MSW, code reviews, linting/formatting standards (ESLint, Prettier), and build tools such as Vite or Webpack.
Proficiency with AWS, Git, GitHub Actions, and CI/CD automation, with working knowledge of authentication flows, real-time application integrations, analytics implementation, and accessibility standards (WCAG, ARIA, ADA).
Experience with Angular 7+ is highly desirable, particularly for migration projects; familiarity with ExpressJS, LoopBack, relational databases, and third-party software integrations is an added advantage.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, organizational, and timemanagement skills, with attention to detail, adaptability to changing priorities, and the ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional, fast-paced environments.
