About the role

As a Project Manager – Core Banking Transformation, you will lead the delivery of a strategic initiative focused on replacing legacy mainframe banking systems with modern core banking platforms. You will oversee program planning, execution, governance, risk management, and stakeholder engagement, ensuring successful delivery across multiple workstreams and alignment with business objectives.

Program Leadership & Delivery

Lead the end‑to‑end delivery of the Core Banking Transformation Program.

Develop and manage program plans, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.

Track project milestones and ensure timely delivery of program objectives.

Governance & Risk Management

Establish governance frameworks and reporting mechanisms.

Identify, manage, and mitigate program risks and dependencies.

Ensure compliance with organisational standards and regulatory requirements.

Stakeholder Engagement & Coordination

Coordinate multiple project streams to ensure alignment with business objectives.

Manage executive stakeholders, business users, vendors, and technical teams.

Facilitate steering committee meetings and executive reporting.

Execution & Oversight

Drive program execution across cross‑functional and geographically distributed teams.

Monitor progress, resolve issues, and ensure delivery quality.

Experience

You have 12–15+ years of experience in technology project or program management.

You have proven experience leading large‑scale banking transformation programs.

You have strong knowledge of Core Banking implementation or modernisation projects.

Technical Expertise

You are experienced in program planning, governance, risk management, and resource allocation.

You are familiar with managing cross‑functional and geographically distributed teams.

You hold PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, or equivalent certifications (preferred).

Ways of Working

You demonstrate excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

You collaborate effectively with executives, business users, vendors, and technical teams.

You are disciplined in governance and risk management.

You thrive in complex transformation environments and deliver results with confidence.
