Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Electronics Engineer to join our dynamic team at Dyson Electronics Pte Ltd - Philippine Branch. This role involves leading the design, development, and validation of innovative electronic systems for Dyson products, ensuring performance, reliability, and manufacturability.

Job Responsibilities

Lead and manage the entire electronics product development lifecycle, from concept to mass production, for various Dyson products.

Architect and design complex analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuits, including power management, microcontroller-based systems, sensor interfaces, and wireless communication modules.

Oversee PCB layout design, working closely with layout engineers to optimize for signal integrity, EMI/EMC, thermal performance, and manufacturability.

Develop and execute comprehensive test plans for electronic components, sub-assemblies, and final products, including functional, performance, reliability, and compliance testing.

Lead fault finding, root cause analysis, and resolution of electronic hardware issues during development, testing, and production phases.

Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including mechanical engineering, software engineering, industrial design, and manufacturing to integrate electronics seamlessly into products.

Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.

Stay abreast of emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in electronics engineering.

Ensure all designs meet relevant international safety, regulatory, and quality standards (e.g., IEC, FCC, CE).

Manage project timelines, resources, and budgets for electronics development activities.

Job Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.

Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in electronics design and development, with at least 3 years in a lead or senior engineering role.

Proven track record of successfully bringing complex electronic products from concept to mass production.

Expertise in analog and digital circuit design, including microcontrollers (ARM Cortex preferred), power electronics, sensor technologies, and communication protocols (e.g., I2C, SPI, UART, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi).

Proficiency in schematic capture and PCB layout tools (e.g., Altium Designer, OrCAD, Eagle).

Strong understanding of EMI/EMC principles and design for compliance.

Experience with firmware development and debugging is a significant advantage.

Familiarity with various test equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, logic analyzers, and power supplies.

Excellent problem-solving skills, with a methodical approach to troubleshooting and root cause analysis.

Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Experience with product development processes and quality management systems.
