The Role

Reporting to the Head of Market and operating within the Dyson Nordics Retail Team, the Direct Retail and Store Operations Manager is responsible for the performance, growth, and operational excellence of Dyson's direct retail business across the Nordics.

This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on execution, ensuring our stores deliver exceptional commercial results, outstanding customer experiences, and operational excellence. The role leads and develops store teams, drives retail performance, and translates business priorities into effective in-store execution.

As the owner of Dyson's direct retail channel, the role also supports the long-term growth of the business by evaluating expansion opportunities, developing business cases for new locations, and leading the successful launch of new stores when market conditions align with Dyson's growth strategy.

Key Responsibilities

Direct Retail Performance & Operations

Lead and develop Dyson's direct retail stores, ensuring alignment with business objectives and achievement of commercial, customer experience, and operational KPIs.

Drive consistent execution of best-in-class retail standards across all stores, including customer service, visual merchandising, compliance, inventory management, and brand presentation.

Monitor and analyze retail performance, identifying opportunities to improve sales, conversion, profitability, and operational efficiency.

Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless delivery of retail initiatives, product launches, campaigns, and promotions.

Ensure stores operate efficiently, safely, and in compliance with Dyson policies and procedures.

People Leadership & Capability Building

Lead, coach, and develop Store Managers and retail teams to create a high-performance culture focused on accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement.

Build succession plans and support individual development through coaching, feedback, and targeted learning initiatives.

Partner with the Training Team to ensure teams have the skills, knowledge, and capabilities needed to meet current and future business requirements.

Retail Strategy & Business Growth

Develop and execute retail strategies that support Dyson's commercial objectives and long-term market ambitions within the Nordics.

Identify opportunities to strengthen the direct retail footprint through market analysis, performance reviews, and consumer insights.

Assess potential expansion opportunities by evaluating market demand, commercial viability, customer demographics, and competitive dynamics.

Build and present business cases for new retail locations and lead the end-to-end execution of approved store openings.

Ensure all growth initiatives align with Dyson's brand positioning, customer experience standards, and long-term business strategy.

Qualifications & Experience

Proven multi-site retail management experience (5+ years), ideally in premium consumer or technology sector.

Strong commercial and analytical skills, with a track record of delivering results.

Hands-on leader, with demonstrated ability to inspire and develop teams.

Experience driving in-store campaigns, events, and activations.

Fluent in a Nordic language and English.
