Junior Operations Manager

Key Guard Security is an established security company based in Mullingar, Co. Westmeath. Our aim is to provide a premium, high-quality service that fulfils all of our clients’ expectations and consistently exceeds industry standards.

We deliver dependable security solutions including static guarding, mobile patrols, key holding, retail security, alarm response, and integrated security services to a broad range of clients across Ireland.

Due to continued growth, we are currently seeking an Junior Operations Manager to oversee and support our operations across the Dublin region.

This is a key leadership role responsible for the day-to-day management of security operations, ensuring exceptional service delivery, operational efficiency, and full compliance with company policies and industry regulations. The successful candidate will lead and support operational teams, manage client relationships, coordinate resources, monitor performance against KPIs, and drive continuous improvement across all areas of the business.

The ideal candidate will have strong operational management experience, excellent leadership and communication skills, and a proven ability to manage multiple sites, teams, and client requirements in a fast-paced security environment.

Primary Responsibilities

Ensure that our client’s sites are 100% manned according to contract requirements. Monitor and manage key metrics like shift attendance, lateness and unfulfilled hours.

Oversee the onboarding of new client accounts and write and update detailed assignment instructions and standard operating procedures for every site.

Serve as the critical point of contact for client communication during high-priority security breaches or operational failures and translate complex, technical or field incidents to transparent client-facing reports.

Serve as the chief escalation point for client complaints regarding security officer performance or misconduct.

Work closely with recruitment and rostering teams to forecast staffing shortages and resolve regional deployment gaps before they impact the client.

Collaborate directly with the control room, rostering, HR and sales teams to relay customer feedback and resolve systemic issues quickly and appropriately.

Conduct regular operational review of client accounts to identify security gaps or service improvement opportunities proactively.

Conduct regular site visits and spot-checks to ensure on-site personnel are sharp, properly uniformed and strictly adhering to post instructions.

Assisting with vehicle maintenance support to ensure full functionality of our mobile fleet.

Experience and Requirements

3 years of operations or customer success management with specific exposure to private security a bonus.

Familiarity with security industry regulations, working time directives and site safety standards.

Strong communication and conflict-resolution skills, capable of speaking professionally with corporate executives and empathetically with frontline guarding staff.

Full clean driving licence

PSA Guarding licence or ability to complete the necessary training and obtain a PSA Guarding licence upon completion.

Ability to reliably commute to our head office in Mullingar.

A reasonable level of flexibility to visit client sites early morning or late evening.
