Production Supervisor

Role Summary

He/She oversees routine production activities in the manufacturing area to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards, while meeting production plans and targets without compromise.

He/She coordinates production personnel, materials, equipment, and documentation to ensure consistent performance in both quality and efficiency within Production Department.

Key Responsibilities

Arrange and complete the full production process before executing the production store-in process in the ERP system, following QA approval of FG batch testing results.

Record material usage and rejection in ERP every morning for the previous day's production activities.

Transfer FG to the Warehouse in ERP upon completion of store-in or receiving request stock replenishment reports from the Warehouse every morning.

Plan and/or adjust the production schedule whenever FG are transferred to the Warehouse, to maintain safety stock levels based on the latest sales forecast.

Ensure all materials have valid quality approval status before use in Production.

Notify Purchaser and Warehouse Stock Controller immediately if production cannot proceed per production plan due to a material shortage.

Supervise and coordinate the daily operations of production lines to ensure successful execution in line with the production targets.

Monitor production yield and promptly report any abnormal yield losses to the Production Manager for investigation.

Ensure the accuracy of production documents prepared by Production Clerk for the next day’s production activities before end-of-day.

Verify that cleaning and maintenance duties assigned to packers and operators were completed in the previous day before signing off on related records.

Review manpower requirements for routine production operations and notify the Production Manager for necessary arrangements.

Inform Production Clerk of any label or consumable replenishment needs for procurement.

Report any errors found in production records to Production Clerk for timely correction.

Report any facility or equipment abnormalities to the Production Manager for prompt resolution.

Conduct a daily end-of-day walkthrough of the manufacturing area to identify any abnormalities or special cleaning and maintenance needs beyond the regular duty roster.

Provide briefing or training to packers and operators whenever QA communicates production abnormalities, customer complaints, or inspection findings.

Perform any ad hoc duties as assigned.

Requirements

Diploma or equivatent in Science, Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.

Minimum 3 years of experience in manufacturing operations, preferably in health products, pharmaceutical, FMCG, or related industries.

Familiarity with GMP / GxP standards and regulatory requirements in manufacturing environments.

Experience in supervising production team, production scheduling, and shop-floor operations.

Exposure to regulatory inspections or manufacturing audits is an advantage.

Possess eye for details, possess good critical thinking skills

Good organisational, problem-solving, and operational management skills.

Able to communicate in English and Mandarin to support coordination with operational staff.

Hands-on and possess practical approach to managing manufacturing operations.

Pay: $2,800.00 - $3,200.00 per month
