Position Summary

The Portfolio Operations Associate serves as the operational and commercial execution partner to Product Management, translating portfolio strategy into actionable tools, processes, communications, and enablement programs that support commercial success. This role coordinates product lifecycle activities, supports channel and commercial teams, manages portfolio-related requests, enables successful product launches, and drives execution across internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Portfolio & Product Lifecycle Execution

Serve as a primary point of contact for routine portfolio-related requests, including SKU inquiries, product information, quote support, cross-references, product specifications, and portfolio documentation.

Coordinate execution activities associated with new product introductions (NPIs), product updates, and product lifecycle management initiatives.

Support product setup and maintenance activities across commercial systems, sales tools, and customer-facing platforms.

Assist with SKU creation, portfolio rationalization, product discontinuations, and sunset planning activities.

Maintain product lifecycle records, portfolio documentation, and supporting business materials.

Track key lifecycle milestones and coordinate follow-up activities with cross-functional stakeholders.

Support special projects e.g. site moves, new regulation implementation etc.

Commercial & Channel Enablement

Translate product and portfolio direction into sales tools, product guides, FAQs, training materials, competitive resources, and commercial enablement content.

Support channel partner programs through communication of product information, and completed Marketing launch materials, training resources, and ongoing portfolio communications.

Coordinate distribution and channel communications related to launches, portfolio updates, product changes, and discontinuations.

Partner with Sales, Channel Management, Commercial Operations, and Customer Care teams to ensure accurate and consistent product information.

Support development and maintenance of content for LPG commercial enablement platforms: training hubs, intranet sites, and resource centers.

Coordinate product demonstration resources, training initiatives, and commercial readiness activities.

Launch & Growth Program Support

Coordinate cross-functional execution activities required for successful product launches.

Support implementation of product promotions, channel marketing initiatives, and commercial growth programs in conjunction with Regional Marketing, Channel Management and Commercial leaders.

Assist with launch readiness planning, communication development, training deployment, and commercialization activities.

Partner with Marketing and Demand Generation teams to ensure product content and launch materials are available and aligned.

Monitor launch execution and collect feedback from commercial teams.

Market, Customer & Competitive Insights

Aggregate customer, channel, competitive, and market feedback.

Support Product Management with competitive intelligence, portfolio reviews, and business planning activities.

Identify recurring customer requests, operational challenges, competitive trends, and enablement gaps.

Develop reporting and summaries to support portfolio prioritization and decision-making.

Operational Excellence & Cross-Functional Coordination

Develop and maintain SOPs, workflows, and documentation for recurring portfolio and commercial activities.

Coordinate communication and execution across Product Management, Marketing, Commercial Operations, Customer Care, Supply Chain, Regulatory Affairs, Sales, and Channel teams.

Maintain Product Management dashboards, trackers, project plans, and status updates.

Monitor business processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, consistency, and scalability.

Support reporting and analysis related to launches, lifecycle management, channel programs, training initiatives, and portfolio performance.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Life Sciences, Operations, or related field.

3–5+ years of experience in product marketing, product operations, commercial operations, sales enablement, marketing operations, or related functions.

Experience supporting cross-functional projects in a matrixed organization.

Strong project management, communication, analytical, and organizational skills.

Experience with Salesforce, Seismic, SharePoint, and Microsoft Office preferred.

Travel Requirement
