Job Description

Primary Responsibilities

Own significant portions of financial analyses and transaction workstreams while partnering directly with senior bankers to solve complex financing challenges and develop innovative capital solutions for clients.

Build and analyze complex financing models incorporating multiple debt instruments, layered capital structures, cash flow waterfalls, credit enhancement features, and alternative financing scenarios.

Design and evaluate innovative financing structures that improve access to capital for governmental agencies, nonprofit organizations, educational institutions, and other public-purpose borrowers.

Perform scenario analysis, sensitivity analysis, optimization modeling, and other quantitative analyses to evaluate financing alternatives.

Prepare presentations, financing proposals, and analytical materials used to evaluate and communicate financing alternatives.

Identify opportunities to leverage automation, AI-assisted analytical tools, and emerging technologies to improve modeling efficiency and analytical workflows.

Desired Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Financial Engineering, Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Computer Science, Quantitative Economics, Operations Research, or another highly quantitative discipline.

Expert-level Microsoft Excel skills with demonstrated experience building sophisticated financial or quantitative models.

Strong quantitative reasoning, mathematical aptitude, and analytical problem-solving capabilities.

Ability to quickly understand, audit, modify, and enhance complex existing financial models.

Experience with optimization techniques (including linear optimization or mathematical programming) is beneficial.

Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment.

Familiarity with AI-assisted analytical tools and the ability to effectively incorporate emerging technologies into quantitative workflows.

Programming experience in Python, VBA or similar analytical languages is beneficial but not required.
