About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented QA Automation Engineer to ensure the quality and reliability of our high-traffic lead generation website and native mobile apps, built on a LAMP stack with Laravel and Python, hosted on AWS. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in manual testing, test case creation, automation testing, and defect management, along with the judgment to select and implement the right testing tools, including AI-driven testing platforms.

This is a solo QA role, so you will own quality end to end and work closely with Product Owners, Developers, and Project Managers to deliver high-quality software that protects conversion and revenue.

Key Responsibilities:

Analyze product requirements and prepare comprehensive test plans and test cases.

Perform functional, regression, integration, smoke, sanity, and exploratory testing.

Develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts for our website and native mobile app, prioritizing coverage for high-traffic pages and conversion-critical flows such as landing pages, forms, and lead submission paths.

Evaluate and select automation tools and frameworks, including AI-driven testing platforms for self-healing automation and visual regression, to keep coverage strong with minimal manual upkeep.

Conduct performance and load testing on high-traffic pages and key conversion flows to ensure the site and app hold up under real-world traffic.

Perform basic security testing on forms and data entry points that collect lead and personal information, and flag vulnerabilities such as injection risks or unvalidated inputs to the development team.

Build and maintain both a full on-demand regression suite and a leaner suite of automated checks that runs before every CI/CD pipeline release.

Identify, document, track, and verify defects using JIRA or similar tools.

Collaborate with developers to reproduce and resolve issues across our PHP/Laravel and Python environments.

Validate bug fixes and perform regression testing before releases.

Ensure adequate test coverage and maintain test documentation.

Report testing progress, quality metrics, and release readiness to stakeholders.

Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and automation frameworks.

Required Skills:

Strong understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and SDLC.

Experience in manual testing and test case design.

Hands-on experience with automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium, or similar.

Familiarity with AI-driven testing platforms such as Applitools, Testim, Mabl, or similar, for self-healing automation and AI-powered visual regression testing.

Knowledge of API testing using Postman or REST Assured.

Experience with JIRA, TestRail, Zephyr, or similar test management tools.

Basic knowledge of SQL and database validation.

Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Git.

Basic familiarity with AWS, since our environment is cloud-hosted.

Ability to write and maintain test scripts across more than one language, ideally with exposure to both PHP and Python.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Comfortable working independently, as this is a solo QA role.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

2 to 4 years of experience in Manual and Automation Testing.

Experience testing high-traffic websites or conversion-focused funnels is a plus.
