Technical Sales Expert (f/m/d) - Transformer

Transformers are one of the most important components for energy supply in high and medium voltage networks. Reliable energy transmission is the decisive criterion for our customers. In your daily work, you will develop optimal transformer solutions together with our customers to meet current challenges. A holistic approach, consisting of optimal product design, the selection of suitable monitoring systems, and the definition of tailored service concepts, is always at the forefront.
How You’ll Make an Impact
Conducting feasibility studies for transformers, as well as creating preliminary transformer designs to determine maximum dimensions and weights
Selecting suitable monitoring systems and presenting them to customers
Include service and monitoring systems proposition on transformers solutions and presenting them to customers
Optimizing interfaces with other products, such as the connection of gas-insulated high-voltage switchgear
Collaborating with regional sales, factories, and monitoring- and service departments
Capture and translate market trends, customer requirements, and emerging technologies into actionable inputs for product development and portfolio strategy
Act as a key technical interface between customers, regional sales teams, and R&D, ensuring alignment of market needs with product capabilities and innovation roadmaps
Support strategic customer discussions by providing consultative expertise on transformer solutions within complex grid and substation applications
Drive standardization and modularization concepts for transformer design and interfaces, enabling simplification of engineering, reduction of lead times, and improved scalability
Identify opportunities to optimize production footprint and maximize factory capacity utilization, balancing customization needs with standardized product approaches
Contribute to the definition of global technical positioning and differentiators in competitive bids and key pursuits
Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to improve offer quality, reduce risk, and enhance execution feasibility across regions and factories
Includes AI into your daily work to increase productivity and maximize outcome Support the development of guidelines, tools, and best practices for technical sales engineering within ADCE
What You Bring
Complete university degree in electrical engineering, energy technology, high voltage technology, or comparable courses of study
Long term experience in creating offer designs for transformers, or comparable activities in product management, development, or service of transformers
Analytical skills and a systematic, analytical and goal-oriented approach to solving complex tasks
Experience with monitoring systems for transformers and transformer service Solid commercial knowledge, as well as strong team and communication skills
Fluent in German and English. Additional languages are a plus Strong understanding of global energy market dynamics, customer segments, and grid trends, particularly in transmission and substation applications
Proven experience in interfacing between technical, commercial, and R&D organizations, ideally in an international environment
Ability to combine deep technical expertise with commercial acumen, supporting customer-centric solution development
Experience in standardization, product harmonization, or industrialization initiatives within transformer
Strategic mindset with the ability to translate market insights into product and portfolio improvements
Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence across regions, business units, and organizational levels
Experience supporting complex tenders or key accounts, including early-stage consulting and positioning
High level of ownership, initiative, and ability to work in a global, matrix organization
