About the role

Hello. We’re Teya.

Teya was founded on a simple belief: local businesses deserve better.

They are the cafés, restaurants, salons, shops and entrepreneurs that bring character to our high streets, create jobs and keep communities moving. Yet for too long, financial services has made life harder for them - with clunky tools, poor support and complexity that gets in the way of running a business.

Teya exists to change that.

We’re building a financial platform for local businesses across Europe - one built around simple tools, thoughtful design and real human support. Our Members rely on us to help them run their business with confidence, and that responsibility shapes the way we work.

We move fast. We care about quality. We stay close to the detail. And we believe great performance and genuine hospitality should go hand in hand.

If you want to build meaningful products, solve real problems and make a genuine difference for local businesses, we’d love to hear from you

Role overview

We are looking for Group Tax Reporting Manager to join Teya’s Group Tax team based in our London office.

This is a high-impact role with core responsibility for group tax accounting, reporting and compliance across a growing international business. You will work across multiple jurisdictions, supporting accurate tax reporting in the financial statements, overseeing key compliance processes and helping the business navigate growth, new products and international expansion.

This role would suit someone with strong international tax knowledge, a solid grounding in tax reporting R&D and compliance, and the confidence to work across a fast-moving, multinational environment. You will also have the opportunity to support broader tax planning initiatives as Teya continues to scale.

What you will do

Group tax accounting and reporting

Own tax accounting for group and statutory financial statements across multiple jurisdictions, including the UK, Europe and Iceland

Lead the preparation and review of tax note disclosures, ensuring reporting is accurate, complete and aligned with applicable accounting standards

Take ownership of deferred tax analysis, including assessment of deferred tax positions and deferred tax asset recognition

Take ownership of R&D tax credit claims

Review tax computations and ensure tax positions are appropriately reflected in statutory reporting

Manage tax expense reporting processes and support the wider tax reporting timetable

Oversee intercompany loan and related tax processes relevant to the Group Tax team

Compliance and outsourced provider management

Support and coordinate direct tax compliance across multiple jurisdictions

Manage the relationship with outsourced compliance providers, ensuring high-quality delivery, clear deadlines and effective challenge where needed

Review outputs from external advisors and outsourced providers, with a strong focus on quality, accuracy and consistency

Help strengthen tax reporting and compliance processes, controls and templates across the function

Broader tax support

Ideal candidate profile

You are technically strong, commercially aware and comfortable working in a lean specialist team where ownership matters. You enjoy combining core reporting and compliance responsibilities with broader, value-added tax work.

You are someone who can move confidently between detail and big picture: reviewing computations, improving disclosures, managing external providers and supporting the business on expansion and planning. Just as importantly, you are a clear communicator who can build strong relationships across Finance and the wider business.

We are committed to creating an inclusive environment where everyone regardless of race, ethnicity, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, age, disability, religion, or background can thrive and do their best work. We believe that a diverse team leads to better ideas, stronger outcomes, and a more supportive workplace for all.

If you require any reasonable adjustments at any stage of the recruitment process whether for interviews, assessments, or other parts of the application - we encourage you to let us know. We are committed to ensuring that every candidate has a fair and accessible experience with us.
