GCP Application Technical Lead

Job Summary

Build and test applications and services deployed on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) , validating configurations, integrations, and behavior of GCP-native services (e.g., BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub, Cloud Functions, GKE, Vertex AI, etc., as applicable).

Validate data pipelines end-to-end — ingestion, transformation, and output — ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and consistency.

Build and validate inference workflows/ML model outputs , checking correctness, latency, and consistency of predictions served through pipelines or APIs.

Perform load and performance testing using JMeter , analyzing throughput, response times, and system behavior under stress/load conditions.

Write and execute SQL queries to validate data integrity, backend logic, and database transactions across relational/NoSQL systems.

Independently plan, design, and execute comprehensive test strategies for new features and existing systems, ensuring full requirement coverage.

Design detailed, reusable, and traceable test cases covering functional, non-functional, edge, and negative scenarios.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead the team in designing, developing, and implementing scalable and secure applications on gcp

2. Collaborate with cross functional teams to understand project requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs

3. Ensure adherence to best practices, coding standards, and security guidelines in gcp application development

4. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in gcp applications, ensuring high performance and reliability

5. Mentor and coach team members, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning

Skill Requirements

1. Proficiency in google cloud platform (gcp) services and tools such as compute engine, app engine, cloud storage, bigquery, and cloud functions

2. Strong experience in programming languages like java, python, or node.js for gcp application development

3. Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies such as docker and kubernetes in the context of gcp

4. Experience with gcp data solutions including bigtable, datastore, and pub/sub

5. Familiarity with gcp networking, iam, and security principles for developing secure and robust applications on gcp

6. Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast paced environment

Other Requirements

1.Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect, Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer, or Google Cloud Professional Developer certifications are a plus
