Description

1. Application Development & enhancement:

Develop and maintain high-quality Roku applications using BrightScript.

Translate UI/UX wireframes into functional Roku channel components.

Create reusable components, modules, and services for scalable application architectures.

2. Technical Implementation:

Integrate REST APIs, video streaming services, DRM, and analytics SDKs within Roku applications.

Implement adaptive streaming formats such as HLS, Dash, and Smooth Streaming.

Optimize performance, memory usage, and video playback to ensure smooth user experience.

3. Testing & Debugging:

Conduct rigorous code reviews, unit testing, and functional testing of Roku applications.

Use Roku’s debugging tools, logs, and profiling utilities to identify and fix issues.

Ensure applications meet platform guidelines and pass certification requirements.

4. Collaboration & Documentation:

Work closely with designers, backend engineers, and product teams to deliver feature-rich streaming experiences.

Document technical designs, code logic, and release notes.
